Lado's passing on Sunday, March 3, in Los Angeles, California, USA, at the age of 71, leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him.

 

Family, friends, and well-wishers have come together to arrange his final burial ceremony, scheduled for Monday, March 18, 2024 at the esteemed High Desert Funeral & Cremation in Hesperia, California. It is not merely a family affair but a collective tribute from a community united in grief and fond remembrance. Lado was more than a friend; he was a guiding light, deeply woven into the fabric of their personal and professional lives.

 

Reflecting on their shared journey, Sogbuyi reminisces on Lado's profound impact, both in their business ventures and beyond. His legacy of vitality and warmth is celebrated by those whose lives he touched.

The Eternal Profile of Late Oladipo Adenrele Soremekun:

Born March 16, 1953, in the chilly town of Jos, Plateau State, in Northern Nigeria, to very devoted Christian parents, late Most Senior Apostle Henry Adeyinka Soremekun and late Iya-Ijo Mother in Isreal Helen Olutayo Soremekun, nee Aderupoko-Coker of Bakatari, both from Egbaland, Abeokuta Ogun State.

Late Oladipo Adenrele Soremekun moved to Bauchi, with his late parents, and siblings where he enrolled to start his primary education at St. Paul Primary School, Baya Geri, off Kofa Wunti, Bauchi.

Following the Nigerian civil war of 1966-1967, Ladi along with his junior sister Foluke Soremekun, left their mother, his brother Bayolee, his sisters, Funmilayo, Bimbo and Sumbo to live with his late father who had earlier relocated to Lagos and they all stayed together as a family at Number 23, Obadeyi Street, Oko-Baba, Ebute-Meta, Lagos.

He was later enrolled into Ijero Municipal Primary School, to continue his primary education. After his primary education, he gained admission into African Church Grammar School, Ilesa for his secondary education, but later moved back to Jos to continue his secondary education at Naraguta College, Bauchi Road, Jos.

As an active athlete, Ladi moved to Ilorin for a brief stay with his late sister, Funmilayo to pursue his interest in sports, which later became a career for him in the field of both Volleyball and Basketball at State, National and International levels, where he won many medals. As a pioneer volleyball coach under the employment of Ogun State Sports Council, from 1976, Ladi later enrolled on the prestigious National Institute for Sports at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos for his Grades 2 & 3, Coaching course, which was sponsored by his sister, Bimbo Soremekun.

 

During his active playing years, it is on record that Ladi was the only volleyball player who spiked a leather volleyball and the ball got deflated.

His journey took an international turn when he ventured to Los Angeles, California, USA, in 1981, sponsored by his sister Sumbo Soremekun. There, he embarked on a career in the courier services industry, ultimately co-founding Ontime Courier Services with Ayo Sogbuyi and Gbolade Egberongbe.

 

Lado's personal life was equally rich and fulfilling. He found love and companionship with Venerra, his beloved wife, a beautiful Black American woman. Their union bore fruit in the form of children - Adeyinka, Funmilayo, Lanre (Shawn), Sola, and Bayo - who now carry on his legacy with dignity and pride. Additionally, his grandchildren, Mia and Micheal Jr., brought him immeasurable joy and pride.

 

As Lado bids farewell to this world, he leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and a network of loved ones too numerous to count. His sisters, Bimbo, Sumbo, and Mofoluke, with his extended family, both near and far, mourn his loss deeply. May his caring soul find eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire all who knew him.

Aftermath of Hijab Crisis: Olawale Tajudeen Adegbite's Mother Murdered In Cold Blood - Samson Bankole

 

It seems the government is not in control and everything has broken down, concerning the way the Muslim fanatics are going around in Ilorin, Kwara State to terrorize the indigenes who are not Muslims and converts in the state. 

This is a follow up report on the attack on Christian Schools in Ilorin community area in the state that once affected the family of Tajudeen Adegbite whose whereabouts are yet to be confirmed.

We gathered that the "Islamic fundamentalists"  really dealt with many Christians years back and some were macheted, their clothes torn and badly beaten in the communities around Ilorin, during the hijab crisis.

The bad news from our further investigation concerning the family of Adegbite that ran away from the state, revealed that the aged mother of Tajudeen Adegbite was badly attacked in her residence at 120, Akintola Sabo-Oke, Ilorin, Kwara by the adamant fundamentalists that are still after the lives of Tajudeen and his family members.

An eye witness narrated that they came in a bus and all dressed in the normal Muslim hijab and jalabia to ask for Alhaja Ayoka Adegbite who happened to be the old mother of Olawale Tajudeen Adegbite.

She welcomed them and after a few minutes, there was noise and a kind of argument ensued from her flat upstairs, which made the neighbours come out from their apartments and  gathered to find out what was going on, but to their surprise the unsuspected Jihadists have come to threaten her to know the whereabouts of her son, Olawale Tajudeen. 

One of the concerned neighbours, said they even collected her phone to know if she had been talking to her son and when they couldn't find his contact they resulted in dragging the old woman, on the staircase, and she fell down and collapsed. It was at that moment that it was done on them that they had really hurt an aged woman that couldn't fight back all because she was protecting her son and his family, whom they wanted to kill by all means possible.

Mama was rushed to the nearby local hospital called Oreife Clinic & Maternity, located at No. 30, Saboline Ilorin, Kwara State but she later gave up the ghost because of the severe injuries she sustained from the fall on the staircase, disclosed one of the neighbours in tears. 

The community was thrown into sorrow and tears when the news of her death was announced to the public. 

The big question many are asking now is, who are these Jihadists that are after the lives of Olawale Tajudeen Adegbite and when did it become a crime in Nigeria for any citizen to convert from one religion to another? 

Information passing round in the community revealed that Olawale Tajudeen Adegbite, his wife, Toyin Iretiola Adegbite and their three lovely children; Abdulrasheed Omogbolahan, Morenikeji Mariam and Adams Marcelo are not safe anywhere in the state or Nigeria because it's very obvious the Muslim Fundamentalists are all out to kill them and make them a big lesson to others that might want to abandon the Islam faith as a religion in that part of the country.

We recalled that Olawale Tajudeen Adegbite’s family are now born again Christians and they believe that both Muslims and Christians serve the same God but it's only the worship doctrine that's quite different. However, one religion shouldn't be attacking the other in this generation where people are more exposed to civilization and free to do whatever they want as long as they are not against the law of the land.

Those who should know from the investigations disclosed, that it is wise for Olawale Tajudeen Adegbite to continue hiding from the die-hard Jihadists that are all out to destroy him and his immediate family.  

Further findings revealed that the extremists will do everything within their power to track them down because it's obvious they are only after their lives from the way they treated his late aged mother who was thrown down from the staircase in her home, despite the fact that she was a practicing Muslim like them. 

How many more people are they going to hurt just to get hold of Tajudeen Adegbite and his family members.

It is high time the government in the state have to stand up for the citizens as part of the oath to protect lives and properties in the state like never before. 

The people of Ilorin can't continue to live in fear because of the Muslim fundamentalists attacks on Christians. It is advisable to do the needful in order to put a stop to the menace in the state for peace and tranquility.
