Ambassador Shola Agboola, the Founder/ Chief Executive Officer of SAGA Foundation Inc and the fotmer President of the Nigerian Association for Young Adults of Canada has been honoured with the prestigious 2022 Mahatma Gandhi Community Service Award for his exemplary leadership spirit of service, sterling contributions and unending passion for social, economic and human development in the community not only in Canada but India, Nigeria, Kenya and beyond.
No doubt, Ambassador Shola Agboola, a Nigerian Immigrant in Canada has exemplified the Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy to transform society for good through outstanding selfless service and humanitarian endeavours as a global citizen for the benefits of mankind across the continents of the world.
In record, his tremendous contributions to the Canadian society through his volunteerism and political engagement in Canada is one of the reasons for him to be recognized and counted worthy of the high-status award at the Mahatma Gandhi Peace Award Gala in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada on Monday, October 17, 2022.
The immense contribution of Shola Agboola, who has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Manitoba, where he graduated with distinction cannot be disregarded, because he has added great value to numerous people for a better, stronger and inclusive society through his reputable SAGA Foundation Inc.
While thanking the organizers of Mahatma Gandhi Peace Award Gala for “honouring a worthy individual with a big philanthropy heart” SAGA Foundation urged others to emulate his good deeds and be part of building a better community around the world.
On receiving the Community Service Award at the 2022 Mahatma Gandhi Peace Award Gala, he thanked the Almighty God for the great honour while also thanking his family and team members for supporting him towards achieving his vision and mission for the society through his foundation. Agboola also added that it was so humbling to share the stage with a United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and former judge at the Supreme Court of Canada, Justice Louise Arbour who was also honored with a peace award at the event.
The latest 2022 Mahatma Gandhi Community Service Award received by Ambassador Agboola has touched and won the hearts of many great political and religious leaders across the world.
